As women and girls, we receive so much cultural messaging– both subliminal and overt– from the day we are born. This messaging makes us believe that we are limited–that we are small and that this smallness should be our goal. We’re taught to underestimate ourselves. My passion lies with helping women to discover how powerful they truly are. You possess a true superpower, and I am here to help you trust and use it. I am here to help you connect with your authentic self in order to heal and to create a better world for those around you. You are not alone—the parts of you that have been silenced or overlooked are exactly where your strength and creativity live.

Therapy with me is about stepping into your strength. It’s a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s holding you back, what already works, and how to reclaim your voice and energy. I believe that healing is an individual and personal journey. Therefore, my approach is collaborative, compassionate, and flexible, so it is uniquely tailored to your needs. We’ll work together to help you experiment with ways to connect with your authentic power as a woman, to feel more grounded, confident, and alive.

I specialize in working with girls and women who are struggling with concerns related to depression, mood, anxiety, and trauma. I also have extensive training in perinatal mental health, including concerns related to pregnancy, infertility/fertility challenges, and postpartum. Many of the individuals I work with have concerns related to identity, self-worth, and relationships, who may be carrying the weight of caring for others while struggling to care for themselves. They are often thoughtful and compassionate, and sometimes overwhelmed by the very qualities that make them who they are.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina, with Resident Status in Washington DC and Virginia. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to meet the unique needs of each client, always tailoring therapy for your unique needs and life story.

I’m here whenever you’re ready to take that first step. I can’t wait to meet you and see where your journey leads.

Philosophy

I believe that connection is at the heart of growth—connection to yourself, to others, and to the life you want to create. Healing comes from trusting your own experiences, acknowledging your resilience, and letting your energy and creativity ripple out into the world. You don’t need to be fixed, and you don’t need to shrink to fit anyone else’s expectations—you just need space to remember who you are and what you already have to offer.

My role is to help you honor your story, trust your voice, and create a life that feels meaningful and fully yours. You are already powerful. Therapy can be the space to step fully into that power, trust it, and let it guide you in life, relationships, and everything you create.—

I see counseling as a collaborative process—one where we work together to identify and move toward the goals that bring you greater fulfillment and peace. I bring clinical knowledge, tools, and insight, and you bring a deep, lived understanding of your life, experiences, and what you need. You are the expert on your life, and I’m here to listen without judgment, hold space for what matters most to you, and support you on your journey toward greater well-being and mental health. I am the person in your corner—someone who will always meet you with compassion and offer honest, thoughtful feedback.

I believe that relationships—especially the ones we form early in life—play a powerful role in shaping how we think, feel, and relate to others today. In therapy, we may explore your past experiences, such as childhood relationships, attachment styles, family dynamics, and other key moments in your personal history, to understand how they may be influencing your current challenges. I work to create a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship where you will feel safe and supported to do work that may be difficult and vulnerable to make meaningful change.

I believe that when you gain insight into your emotional patterns, you can begin to respond to yourself—and to life—with greater clarity, freedom, and intention.

My approach is integrative and personalized, incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness practices to create an empowering and supportive environment for you. This means that, depending on your needs,  we may challenge and replace unhelpful thought patterns, learn practical skills for regulating yourself and interacting with others, cultivate your ability to nurture yourself, and become more in touch with the present moment. Each session is tailored to meet your unique needs, strengths, and goals, creating a space where you feel empowered to become your truest self.

Specialty Areas

Perinatal mental health, depression, anxiety, and mood concerns

Becoming a mother is one of the most profound transitions in a woman’s life. The challenges of motherhood are immense and the measures of success are invisible— often with little recognition or clear markers of success. The emotional weight of motherhood can bring up past wounds and trauma, challenge self worth and leave your self esteem feeling shaken on even the most capable women.

I’m here to support you through this transition with care, compassion, and a nonjudgmental space to process it all. Together, we can work to cultivate a healthier relationship with your emotions so you can feel more empowered to show up the way you want to for yourself and your children. If you're hoping to break cycles of intergenerational trauma, I am honored to walk beside you as you create a new path—one grounded in healing, insight, and intention.

teen Girls with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, stress, identity, and/or adjustment concerns

Adolescence is a crucial time in a person’s life. In a world that often values achievement, grades, and planning for the future over well-being, building a strong sense of self-worth can feel like an uphill climb. Doing that plus navigating friendships and figuring out who you are, and it’s no wonder teens are often overwhelmed.

I’m passionate about working with teenagers during this formative time. My goal is to help them develop a healthy relationship with themselves and with others as they move toward adulthood. I support teens who are navigating depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, stress, communication challenges, and building a positive identity. In therapy, we work together to build the skills and insight they need to feel more confident, connected, and find contentment.

Women’s mental health

Being a woman in today’s world often means carrying invisible weight. You might feel pressure to meet unspoken expectations, notice how gender roles shape your choices, or find yourself carrying emotional labor that others don’t even see. Living in a patriarchal society leaves marks—sometimes through clear traumas, other times through the quiet ways we’re dismissed or made to feel small. Even being expected to carry too much, or treated like your body matters more than your voice, can shape how you see yourself. Over time, those experiences can make it harder to trust yourself and harder to feel safe in your relationships or confident in what you deserve.

I work with women who feel disconnected from themselves—who are questioning their identity, burned out, stuck in painful relationships, or worn down by self-doubt and old beliefs they never chose. In therapy, we’ll explore how these patterns took shape and work toward helping you feel more grounded in who you are and what you need

depression and Mood concerns

Living with a mood disorder can feel like being at the mercy of something you can’t fully name or control. The highs and lows can distort how you see yourself, your relationships, and your future. I work with clients to make sense of these shifts, identify patterns, and build tools that support emotional stability and self-compassion. Whether your mood feels persistently low, overwhelmingly high, or caught in a confusing cycle of both, we’ll work together to restore a sense of balance, meaning, and connection in your daily life.

anxiety

Anxiety is often a sign of a mind working overtime to keep you safe—but when it becomes overwhelming, it can shrink your world and steal your peace. Whether it shows up as constant worry, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts, or social fears, anxiety can make even everyday tasks feel daunting. My goal is to help you understand what your anxiety is trying to say, and to equip you with strategies that quiet the noise while building trust in your own resilience. Together, we’ll work toward a life that feels more open, grounded, and manageable.

Trauma, PTSD, c-ptsd

Experiences of trauma can leave a lasting imprint—on how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and how safe we feel in the world. Whether the trauma stems from a single event or a series of painful experiences over time, healing is possible. I strive to create a space where your story can be held with care, at your own pace and on your own terms. In our work together, we might explore how past experiences have shaped your present and gently untangle the survival strategies that once protected you but may no longer serve you. I draw from trauma-informed approaches to help restore a sense of safety, connection, and self-trust. My goal is to support you in reclaiming your voice, honoring your resilience, and moving toward a future that feels more grounded and free.

more about ME

hobbies + what I like to do for fun

Outside of therapy, you can usually find me curled up with a good fantasy or romantasy book, walking my dog, or singing along to something that moves me. I’ll intermittently pick up a craft—crocheting, painting, sewing—whatever feels creatively grounding at the time. Lately, I’ve been curious about mythology and nature-based spirituality—both for the stories they tell and the way they connect us to something bigger than ourselves. I believe joy, rest, and creativity are just as important to our healing as insight and effort, and I try to honor those values in my own life, too.

Some of my favorite approaches and resources include:

  • Values Clarification

  • DBT-Based Mindfulness (“What” and “How”) Skills

  • Mapping the Nervous System

  • Visualization Exercises

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear.
