Therapy for Grief & Loss

find kind, compassionate healing and support after loss

The unimaginable has occurred and you don’t know what to do or how exactly to live again

Nothing is the same anymore and the hardest part is realizing that it never will be. You are devastated and can’t stop thinking about your loss.

You walk around in a fog and in a daze. It’s hard to get through each day. You never imagined life would be like this. You can’t make sense of anything any more. It feels like your entire world was shattered. You’ve been profoundly impacted to your very core.

It’s tough to make sense of anything. There are no words for what you are feeling. You have friends and family around but they themselves either don’t understand or are struggling to. You feel disconnected from life and wonder if things will ever be okay again. If you are feeling this way, know that you are not alone. Working with a grief therapist can help you make sense of loss, to find comfort and reconnect to life again.

Grief does not change you, Hazel. It reveals you.

Find support and healing for your grief

Grief therapy in Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland

Here at Hope+Wellness, you will feel safe and supported while grieving. Healing is never about putting your loved one in the past. As therapists who have been through loss ourselves, we understand firsthand how difficult the process can be, and how important it is to have a space to grieve and mourn your loss, while also slowly healing again. Life is complicated after loss, and we are here to offer hope and support. We will help you grieve and to make sense of your loss — to integrate it in a way that helps you feel whole again, except this time, more deeply and richly. Although this pain will never completely disappear, it will ease and we can help support you through this time.
