Therapy for Trauma + PTSD

Reconnect to yourself and find wholeness again

You’ve experienced something for which there are no words

You have nightmares — and a pain that you don’t know how to live with. It is hard to live with yourself at times, hard to make sense of the relationship with yourself or your body. You are in survival mode — it’s hard to make plans for the future, to hope for the future, to let joy in. It’s hard to thrive when you are so focused just on making it through. There are wounds which are invisible to the eye but which somehow drive and contribute to everything you do. You feel as if you are carrying bricks along with you, the same ones from across your entire life, resulting in the same patterns. You know the trauma is not your fault, but you can’t help but feel as if it is. You know you want to heal but you don’t know where to start. For so long, you’ve been afraid to reach out but you are now ready to begin the process of healing.

…and I ask you right here please to agree with me that a scar is never ugly. That is what the scar makers want us to think. But you and I, we must make an agreement to defy them. We must see all scars as beauty. Okay? Because take it from me, a scar does not form on the dying. A scar means, I survived.

Getting started with therapy for trauma and trauma-informed care

We work with kids, teens, young adults, and adults who have experienced a negative event that has significantly impacted them and which they find highly stressful, traumatic, or overwhelming.

We are passionate about offering treatments that are found to be clinically effective in processing and healing from trauma. Our clinicians have extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma. Treatments include Trauma Informed Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. You will be supported in understanding and processing your experiences and the complex ways in which it has affected your mind, body, and spirit and begin to heal.

It is important that you find the therapist that you resonate with. Therefore, we invite you to learn more about us, read our blog, and to read about getting started and frequently asked questions. When you are ready, you can reach out to us to ask a question or to schedule an initial consultation appointment.
